CBC good except for platelets; Dan got a 2nd platelet transfusion. Blood chemistry looks good. ENT followup scheduled for today was postponed.

Dan’s blood was retested - everything is low. He got a transfusion of 2 units of red blood cells.

Dan’s blood test results precluded him getting the scheduled Abraxane dose today. Instead, he’s being scheduled for a platelet transfusion tomorrow.

Blood tests today showed that the trial chemo (carboplatin and abraxane) are hitting his bone marrow very hard. He will have daily CBCs starting tomorrow to keep on top of his platelet counts.

Dan’s platelet count has tanked, but he got his 2nd dose of Abraxane today anyhow. Got 10/6 CT and 10/10 MRI results.

Dan started his abraxane and carboplatin trial drugs today, and also got his monthly Zometa infusion and an MRI on his right arm. We got results from the 9/16 bone scan too.
